Hormonal changes during the Menopause process are massive.

Estrogen and Progesterone are playing havoc with the body. Both these hormones affect every cell in the body, hence why there are so many symptoms.

​

Frequently women are given misguided information, especially during the early stages of menopause.

Menopause is the time in a woman’s life that marks the end of her menstrual cycles, and the changes in the hormones during this time wreak havoc on her affecting every cell in her body. During a woman’s menstrual cycle, the hormones estrogen and progesterone regulate the time of the month and the production of eggs.

In addition, estrogen plays a major role in the normal function of everything in a woman’s body including memory, hair growth, mood, immunity, muscles, and skin.

Some of the symptoms of menopause are:

  • Hot flushes

  • Night sweats

  • Sleep problems

  • Fatigue

  • Irregular periods

  • Weight gain and slowed metabolism

  • Mood changes

  • Anxiety

  • Difficulty Concentrating

  • Thinning hair and dry skin

Often women are given misguided information, especially during the early stages.

But all is not lost, we at Total Fitness MK have been working on a unique membership, utilizing our many years of experience we have developed a special program for menopausal women in Milton Keynes.
