At Total Fitness MK in Milton Keynes, we are all about training your metabolism to work faster than your standard fitness classes. This is why many of our members become long-term members with us, as the results keep coming. Our fitness classes are designed to build muscle tone and burn body fat. The weight loss from your body is fat.

Tabata

Tabata is an interval-timed class. These intervals are set to 20s on and 10s rest for a period of time, usually for 4 to 5 mins. They incorporate two or more exercises. Sometimes this can be bodyweight or using equipment. The idea is to push yourself to the max for the 20s and rest for 10s

Met-Con

Aka Metabolic Conditioning classes are designed to increase your metabolism by incorporating resistance with cardiovascular and functional training exercises for an all-over body workout

Weights Circuit

No cardiovascular exercises; this class aims to build strength and muscle tone throughout the body. You train the whole body using free weights and machines to get a full workout with each class.

HiiT Cardio & Abs

Circuit style class raising the heart rate with various circuit-style exercises using equipment around the studio. Class style can be bodyweight, Kettlebells, machines, functional training, cross-fit style. Great all-rounder with an emphasis on core work.

Barbell Pump

Barbell Pump is a high-energy, full-body workout that combines resistance training with aerobic exercises.  The workout involves using a barbell with adjustable weights. The workout is structured, to target different muscle groups, such as legs, chest, back, arms, and core. Performing a high number of repetitions with relatively low weights, focusing on muscular endurance and toning rather than heavy lifting.

Circuits

Saturday morning circuits class using bodyweight, machines, free weights, KB’s, functional training using different, timings, and other factors are thrown into the workout to keep you and the body guessing.

Pilates

Pilates classes for beginners and intermediate. Classes are held in the studio and online via zoom. These classes are a great mix with our other classes on offer at Total Fitness MK to give you the complete package in fitness.

Pilates HiiT

Pilates HiiT classes for beginners and intermediate. Classes are held in the studio and online via zoom. Pilates HiiT includes Pilates movements working the core, postural muscles and breathing, whilst the HiiT bodyweight element focuses on controlling your breathing and using the correct technique during a session that flows between the two very well.

Body assault is a full body workout. No moving from equipment to equipment as per a circuit. All is completed on your own mat. You will have a mat, a set of dumbells, Kettlebells, a barbell and your bodyweight. Exercises will consist of cardiovascular, weights, functional, abs etc. Given the body a full workout.

Cardio exercises that elevate the heart rate and increase cardiovascular endurance with the use of cardio machines. Strength training, or weights, exercises using resistance machines and free weights to build muscle strength and size.
